Robocop - the film that gave us Alex Murphy, gunned down by ruffians in the first 30 minutes of the film, pulled apart and rebuilt into a modern exoskeleton. Violence and brutality ensues, along with an acidic commentary on the American Dream, modern life and rampant consumerism. The film was interspersed with adverts for artificial sport hearts, games featuring nuclear war and news reports.
Robocop was a fine piece of work, and was genuinely disturbing. It was also the film that the Judge Dredd should have been.
Our friend is represented here by an oddly sized Action figure with little articulation. It speaks several Robocop phrases (“Dead or alive, you’re coming with me”) as well as a well-meaning warning on the dangers of drugs (they are “trouble” apparently).
Right are has interchangeable guns as well as a hand. I would think that this would break quite easily as the plastic seems quite brittle.
