This has to be one of the best designed space craft ever. Forget the lines of the Enterprise, the battered feel of the Millennium Falcon. This craft looks as if someone at NASA had designed and built it. When there finally is a base on the moon, I can imagine craft looking like this being used. Gerry Anderson’s designers seemed to have a thing for unclipping pods from under craft. Thunderbird 2 had a similar arrangement. However, the Eagle Transporter for me is a much better platform craft.
